January 13, 2014

The Features…

The Oster Pressure Cooker features a removable non-stick inner pot, which includes handles that are designed for comfortable, easy gripping, which is ideal if you are planning on moving the appliance quite often.

It also features a delay timer that allows you to program cooking up to 2 hours in advance, as well as an auto shut off feature for added convenience and energy efficiency. The keep warm function enables you to keep your foods piping hot for up to 3 hours, so that it’s ready to eat when you are.

This unit includes a browning option, as well, in addition to 6 programs which allow you to cook meat, fish, poultry, vegetables, and rice with ease (and in a fraction of time it would take to prepare them on the stove top or in the oven).

The Oster Pressure cooker offers an easy to use LED Display and push button panel, which includes an  indicator for cooking, keep warm, and the timer.

The Pros…

One of the most convincing reasons for why you should purchase this product over other models is that is is very easy to use. The design isn’t too complex and the instruction are simple and straightforward. As such, if you are new to the world of pressure cooking, then this might be an ideal choice.

Secondly, the fact that you can brown and sear with this appliance is a big plus. A good number of the other units I’ve tried don’t have that option, which means that you’ll have to dirty another pan or pot if you want to lock in the flavor of your meat before putting them into the electric pressure cooker.

The quality of the unit is quite good. The stainless steel design is not only durable, but pleasing to the eye, and the think plastic handles should stand up to the test of time. Best of all, it is coated with a non-stick surface, so you won’t have to spend a great deal of time after prepping the meal cleaning off the leftover bits of meat and veggies that stuck to the bottom (as you would with stainless steel inserts).

Also, it does carry out a wide range of functions, and for a low price point. Most other units that have similar options are priced above $100, and this one is below $80. So, if you’re looking for an electric pressure cooker that gets the job done without costing a small fortune, then you’ll want to consider this one.

 313nkG5vVkL (Small)

The Cons…

There are a few cons that I thought were worth mentioning. Firstly, the 2 hour start up delay function is a bit less than what I am used to, given that a vast majority of other similarly priced models allow you to set that timer for up to 24 hours in advance.

There is a recipe book included, but it is a bit lacking. Also, the measurements and directions that are included in the recipes are little off. So, you may want to think about purchasing a pressure cooker recipe book when you get this unit, just in case you want to begin cooking right when you pull it out of the box. With that being said, you an always hop online and find a wide range of great recipes for free.

Lastly, it doesn’t have a manual setting. As such, if you want to customize your settings, you’ll have to choose from one of the programmed options and plus or minus the time you’d like to leave your meal in there to cook for. So, this isn’t necessarily a problem, just a minor inconvenience.

The Bottom Line…

For the low price point, you just can’t go wrong with this appliance. If you’re looking for an affordable, dependable, and well built electric pressure cooker, then you’ll definitely want to include this one on your list. It’s multifunctional, it’s efficient, and it can pressure cook meats and veggies to perfection. Not to mention that you can sear, brown, and keep your foods warm all by using just this one appliance.

MaxiMatic EPC-807 Electric Pressure Cooker Review

January 13, 2014

I thought it was important to begin this review by stating, outright, that I am an experienced pressure cooker user. I’ve had one in my home for years, and am not necessarily easy to please when it comes to my kitchen appliances. So, when I had the chance to give the MaxiMatic EPC-807, after receiving it as a gift, I jumped at the chance. After all, I’m always looking for new and improved models that offer great features and added convenience.

In this review, I’ll offer you a detailed look at the pros and cons of this product, as well as some of its key features and specs. I will also share my honest opinion as to whether it’s really worth the investment (if you are planning on purchasing it), or if you should possibly consider another similarly priced unit.

 Maximatic EPC-807

The Specs…

The Maxi Matic EPC-807 holds up to eight quarts, and measures 15 x 15.2 x 15 inches. The weight of the product is 18 pounds.

The housing of the appliance is constructed of brushed stainless steel, and the 8 quart removable cooking pot includes a non-stick coating, for quick and easy clean up after meal preparation.

It retails for around $115.00 plus shipping and handling if you are purchasing it online.

The Features…

The variety of features that this unit offers are, to be quite honest, rather impressive. It has six different functions: Rice, Potatoes, Beans and Grains, Meat and Poultry, Soup & Stew, and Browning. It also allows you to keep your food warm after it’s done cooking (for up to 12 hours, in fact). The browning feature means that you can sear in the flavor of meats right in the pot, rather than having to dirty another one and then transfer it to the cooker.

The 9 hour delay timer gives you the option to program cooking in advance, so that you can set it at night and wake up to a delicious porridge breakfast in the morning. Also, you can customize your cooking settings with this unit (which is rather rare). The programmable pressurized cooking timer can be set for between 0 to 99 minutes.

Another unique feature is the “Automatic resumption” function. Essentially, if the power goes off for a short period of time while the unit is cooking, it will resume cooking when the power is restored.

—->> Click Here for Pricing, Pictures and Reviews on Amazon.com

The Pros…

This product is extremely easy to use, and even easier to clean. These are two big pluses, in my book, given that a vast majority of the pressure cookers out today can be complicated to set up and actually cook with. The insert that it comes with is non-stick and removable, so you can just take it out and quickly clean it after you’re done with your meal preparation.

Secondly, the fact that is has a delay timer is great, because you can set it ahead of time and have your meal hot and ready to eat when you get home from a long day at work (or wake up to a warm all in one breakfast).

Also, it’s very energy efficient. You can actually reduce your energy consumption by up to 70%, when you compare it to cooking on the stove top or in the oven. Therefore, this unit also happens to be one of the more Eco-Friendly options. And (I just had to mention this) the fact that you can automatically resume cooking if your power goes out, once its restored, is wonderful. I live in an area that is prone to frequent power outages, and now I don’t have to worry about my meal being ruined if the power goes out when I’m not at home and the cookers on.

The Cons…

There are only a few downsides with this unit, all of which are very minor, in my opinion. Firstly, it is a bit bulky. It will probably take up a great deal of space on your counter, as well as your cabinets when you store it away after use. Also, this cooker only really operates at a high setting, which means that you may have to adjust cooking times for recipes.

Another key drawback is the actual design of the item. The touch panel is constructed of a less expensive, lower quality plastic, as are the feet of the cooker. So, they may not last for as long as the durable body or insert will (given that they are made using quality materials). Not to mention that the cheaper feet may scratch up your counter top if yours are made of a more sensitive surface.

One last thing that I have to mention is that the delay timer isn’t as long as some of the other models. In fact, the Maxi Matic EPC-808 (the next in the series line) comes with a 24 hour advanced timer. So, if you are planning on setting the cooker well ahead of time on a regular basis, then you may want to consider the newer unit.

The Bottom Line…

If you are looking for a pressure cooker that is a cinch to use and won’t cost you a small fortune, then you’ll want to think about getting the MaxiMatic EPC-808. It feeds a family of 6-8 with no problem at all, thanks to its 8 quart capacity, and is very easy to clean up after meal prep. It’s quiet when operating and seals in food odors, so you won’t even really know that it’s on while you’re pressurizing meals. Best of all, it can cook a large chicken or roast with ease, in a fraction of the time it would take you on the stove top or in the oven.

The Specs…

The Cuisinart Pressure Cooker EPC-1200PC, Brushed Stainless and Matte Black – Club Model holds up to 6 quarts and measures 12-1/5 by 12-1/5 by 13-1/5  inches. It weighs approximately 12 pounds , and the shipping weight of the product is 15 pounds.

The item features a dishwasher safe cooking pot, which is also non-stick, and a trivet. It includes a number of safety features, such as a lid locking system that keeps the unit sealed until it is no longer pressurizing the contents. The unit also comes with a 3 year manufacturer warranty for added peace of mind.

This model of Cuisinart pressure cooker retails for around $75.00 plus shipping and handling when purchased online.

The Features…

This Cuisinart pressure cooker is loaded with a variety of useful and time saving features. The push-button controls make it easy to use, the digital display is simple and straightforward, and the precision thermostat allows you to regulate the temperature to insure that you get the most flavorful results.

This unit also offers a number of functions, including: pressure cooking, browning, simmering, sauteing, and warming. The cool touch handles are a great safety feature, allowing you to move or touch the appliance when it’s turned on. The cooking pot and the trivet that’s included are both dishwasher safe, for convenient clean up.

The Pros…

When it comes to versatility, the Cuisinart pressure cooker definitely doesn’t disappoint. It allows you to cook brown, simmer, saute, and warm with ease.  Best of all, it’s very easy to clean, thanks to its non stick inner cooking pot. You just remove it from the appliance and put it in the dishwasher. It’s just the simple.

In addition, usually when you think of Cuisinart you think of a big price tag. However, this unit will only set you back about $75, without compromising on quality and durability. I also liked the fact that it comes with a three year warranty, as well, which is quite rare for these kinds of appliances. The fact that it includes a brushed stainless steel housing is also a big perk, given that you can just wipe it down with a damp cloth every now and then to insure that it looks presentable if you are leaving it on your counter. It also has a sleek and elegant design, unlike some of the other electric pressure cookers on the market today.

Last, but certainly not least, I just have to mention the fact that this Cuisinart pressure cooker stands out because of it’s ability to make delicious desserts. Believe me, I put it through he ringer when it came to preparing delectable after dinner treats, and it passed every time. You can even make cheesecake and custard in the unit without any worries. That’s far more than can be said for a majority of the other electric pressure cookers that are similarly priced.

The Cons…

There are quite a few pros with this product, but it also has a couple of cons that I felt were worth mentioning. Firstly, this unit can be a bit hard to work if you’ve never tried your hand at pressure cooking before, especially when it comes to figuring out how to lock the lid to trigger the pressurization of the unit. Not to mention that the manual just isn’t very helpful. However, if you look online you’ll be able to find forum posts and advice from other Cuisinart pressure cooker owners that will be of use to you.

Also, you’ll need to be sure that you use enough liquid when pressure cooking in this appliance, as it has a tendency to let steam escape from time to time. This can leave you with dried out meats or burnt oatmeal. So, put in plenty of broth or water when preparing your meals, and you shouldn’t have any problems.

Finally, this Cuisinart pressure cooker can sometimes have trouble building up pressure quickly. You may want to test it now and again with just water to see if it’s still creating enough pressure to cook your meals.

The Bottom Line…

This is a great pressure cooker if you are looking for one that’s versatile and easy to clean. While it may be a bit difficult to use in the beginning, or for those who aren’t familiar with pressure cooking, once you learn how to use its various functions you’ll be able to make meals in a fraction of the time (and use only a fraction of the energy).

Overall, it’s a simple but effective electric pressure cooker with a great price point (under $80). It’s large enough to fit a roast or whole chicken, and can easily make a casserole that serves four to six people (or allows a couple to have plenty of leftovers). The manufacturer warranty will give you added assurance, and the safety features will allow you to have the Cuisinart Pressure Cooker EPC-1200PC in your home without having to worry about little ones or accident prone chefs getting burned while the unit is on.

Finding the best electric pressure cooker can be quite challenging, especially since there are so many models to choose from these days. While one might offer you a variety of functions, another might have just the features you are looking for. So, choosing the appliance that’s ideal for you and your needs may prove to be difficult (not to mention time consuming). So, just to make things a bit easier for you, and less stressful, I thought that it would be a good idea to share my opinions on one of today’s top sellers…the Nesco Pressure Cooker PC4-14 .

Even though this Nesco pressure cooker may be on the list of the best electric pressure cookers, how does it really compare to other similarly priced models, and is it worth your hard earned money? We’ll have an in depth look at the pros and cons of owning the nesco pressure cooker, as well as its useful features and specs.

The Specs…

The Nesco Pressure Cooker PC4-14 , holds up to 4 quarts and measures 12 x 12.8 x 11.2  inches. It weighs approximately 9.4 pounds , and the shipping weight of the product is 12 pounds.

The item includes with a removable nonstick cooking pot for easy clean up, which is also dishwasher safe. The appliance comes with a number of safety features, such as: a self-locking lid that is activated when the unit is turned on, an automatic pressure release setting, cool touch handles, and a cool touch lid. A cooking rack that fits into the inner pot is also included.

This nesco pressure Cooker retails for around $85.00 plus shipping and handling if purchased online.

The Features of the Nesco Pressure cooker…

This unit offers a wide variety of features, including a control panel that is easy to read and use, which includes soft push button controls. There is also a precision thermostat that allows you to constantly monitor the cooking temp inside of the unit, to insure that you have full control over how the appliance is preparing your foods.

The Nesco Pressure Cooker offers four different functions: pressure cooking, browning, simmering, and sauteing. However, there is also a warming feature that you can switch on in order to keep your foods piping hot until you are ready to eat. The locking lid will stay secured until the pressure has been fully released, to insure that the flavors are sealed into your foods, and that no steam is allowed to escape during the cooking process.

—->> Click Here for Pricing, Pictures and Reviews on Amazon.com

The Pros…

Despite the fact that this is a small electric pressure cooker, it has a number of pros that may just prompt you to click that buy button (even if you are looking for a larger capacity). The cool touch handle and lid are a nice perk, since you won’t have to worry about burning yourself on the unit while it is on. This is particularly useful if you have children in the home. Also, the self locking lid feature is included for added safety.

Another thing about the nesco pressure cooker that stands out about this unit is that it is so versatile. You can practically make an entire meal from start to finish, even if there are several cooking steps involved. For instance, if you want to make a nice roast for dinner, you can brown the roast before pressure cooking it, and then even simmer it in a nice broth afterward for added flavor and texture. This can all be done with just this one appliance, rather than dirtying another pot or pan.

As for clean up, it doesn’t get much easier than the Nesco pressure cooker PC4-14. You simply remove the inner pot, which is non stick, and place it right into the dishwasher. You won’t need to worry about having to clean off stuck-on meats or veggies. The unit also comes with a cooking rack which easily fits into the inner pot, which is a wonderful bonus.

The Cons…

There are a few drawbacks to the nesco pressure cooker that I thought were worth mentioning. Firstly, the fact that the pressure cooker only goes up to 10 PSI is a bit disappointing, given that a majority of the recipes you’ll find online and in cookbooks call for 15PSI. So, you will have to adjust the cooking time if you are opting to use a recipe.

Also, the fact that it does only hold 4 quarts can be a problem, especially if you are looking for a cooker that can feed a large family or is able to fit a large roast or chicken. So, this particular model is probably better suited for individuals or couples who just want to make smaller all-in-one-meals or main dishes.

Lastly, it can sometimes take quite awhile to actually go into the pressurized cooking mode, especially if you’re used to stove top pressure cookers. So, you’ll need to keep that in mind when figuring out when to start your meal prep. This is particularly the case if you are entertaining guests and want everything to be ready by the time they arrive (as was the case with me).

The Bottom Line…

I highly recommend the nesco pressure cooker for anyone who is looking for a model that does it all. From cooking rice to making the perfect pot roast in a fraction of the time, this appliance will allow you to make a delicious, nutrient rich meal from start to finish.

With that being said, if you are in search of a model that can make larger meals and bulky food items, such as a whole chicken, then you may want to opt for the similarly priced Secura EPC-S600, which has a six quart capacity. That model will take up more space on your counter though. So, if you want a space saving appliance over one that offers a greater capacity, then I suggest you stick with the Nesco Pressure Cooker.

The Big Boss 8748 Pressure Cooker, holds up to 8.5 quarts and measures 16.5 x 12.4 x 13.4 inches. It weighs approximately 20 pounds , and the shipping weight of the product is 21 pounds.

The unit also includes seven different safety features, for added peace of mind, including: an auto shut-off setting, a sliding lock, a safety valve, and a cool touch stainless steel exterior.

The Big Boss 8748 Electric Pressure Cooker retails for around $150.00 plus shipping and handling if purchased online.

31LprqjN4nL (Small)—->> Click Here for Pricing, Pictures and Reviews on Amazon.com

The Features…

This unit features an 8 hour countdown timer, as well as an 8 hour advanced timer. As such, you can cook larger meals without having to reset the appliance, and can even set it to turn on while you are at work (to come home to a warm meal that’s ready when you are).

It comes with three pressure cooker settings: low (2.5 psi), medium (7.5 psi), and high (15 psi). While the high setting will allow you to cook meats and meals quickly, the low setting can enable you to prepare vegetables and fruity desserts with ease.  In addition to the pressure cooker features, you can also steam, brown, warm, and slow cook with just the push of a button.

This appliance features a unique oval design, as well, that allows you to prepare roasts or other bulky food items that wouldn’t normally fit into other electric pressure cookers. The cool touch exterior is constructed from a brushed stainless steel, making the unit finger print resistant, easy to clean, and safe to use, even when the cooker is turned on.

The Pros…

The sheer capacity of this unit is what makes it stand apart from the rest. It fits up to 8.5 quarts, and is oval, which means that you won’t have any trouble fitting a whole chicken into the inner pot and cooking it in a fraction of the time.  The fact that the inner pot is non-stick is also a big plus, since you won’t have to worry about scraping away food remnants when you’re done enjoying your meal and it’s time to tidy the kitchen.

The Big Boss 8748 1300 watt Electric Pressure Cooker also comes with a measuring cup and spoon, which is a nice little bonus. Not to mention the wide range of other safety parts and features that it’s equipped with. The pressure regulator knob is a particularly useful part, as it enables you to keep an eye on the pressure settings and release the pressure quickly if the need arises.

One last pro that I had to mention was the unit’s warmer settings, which I use regularly. You can just switch on the cooker, let it work its magic, and once it’s done it will automatically turn off the pressure and keep your food piping hot.

The Cons…

There are two minor drawbacks with this unit. However, let me just say that these particular cons aren’t probably enough of a hindrance to deter you from purchasing this appliance if you are looking for one with a larger capacity. Firstly, the fact that it doesn’t come with a steaming or cooking rack is a bit disappointing. You can purchase one on your own, but for the price, it should probably come with some sort of a rack accessory, in my opinion.

Another small complaint is that the advance timer is rather short. A number of other models, such as MaxiMatic EPC-808 8 quart electric pressure cooker gives you the option to set the timer for up to 24 hours in advance, while this one only allows for 8 hours. So, if you wanted a cooker that could be set well ahead of when you wanted it to kick on (such as if you were out of town over night and wanted to come home the next day to hot meal), then you may want to go with another model.

The Bottom Line…

This is actually the largest pressure cooker that we’ve reviewed here on the site. As such, it’s ideal for larger meals or roasts. It also happens to be the perfect cooker for those who entertain often and need to have an electric pressure cooker on hand that can whip up several servings at a time, or to keep foods warm for when guests arrive. If you happen to be in search of an appliance that can also can foods, then this is the ideal option, as it also has that function.

Overall, even though it’s price tag is a bit steeper than some of the other models we’ve featured, you do get quite a bit for the money. The fact that it offers a 15 PSI setting is another big plus, especially if you want to work with recipes that are designed for traditional pressure cookers, as it makes time estimates and measurements for your favorite dishes quick and convenient.

This pressure cooker comes with a variety of useful functions that will allow you to prepare a wide range of meals and meats in a fraction of the time (while enhancing the flavor of everything that you prepare within it). It settings include: high, medium and low pressure, as well as slow cook, steam, simmer, brown and warm. This means that you can use it to steam veggies, make the perfect gravy, and even warm up leftovers, without dirtying other pots and pans.

The inner pot is removable, and dishwasher safe, so that you won’t have to worry about spending long spans of time in the kitchen scraping off remnants of roast or rice. This unit also comes with a steam rack, which makes it even easier to prepare flavorful and nutrient rich vegetables using your favorite broth.

The Pros…

When it comes to pros, this unit certainly doesn’t fall short. Just by looking at the front control panel of the appliance, you can already see that it’s extremely versatile. As such, you probably won’t have to worry about buying a variety of other appliances if you opt for this model. In fact, you can make a number of meals using just this one cooker. For example, if you would like to prepare a mouth watering roast, you can brown the meat to sear in the flavor, then pressure cook it in about 70% less time than it would require in the oven or stove top.

I also loved the fact that you can just remove the inner pot and put it into the dishwasher. The last thing I want to do after a nice meal is stand over the sink and scrub away at leftover food that just won’t come off. However, thanks to the fact that the pot is lined with non stick coating, tidying up the kitchen won’t take any time at all.

Lastly, this pressure cooker has a feature that not too many have these days: three different pressure cooker settings that you can control yourself. While many units may have programmable functions, there are occasions when you want to have a bit more control over how many PSIs you’re using when preparing your meal. This unit gives you the opportunity to choose from low, medium, or high pressure, which is a big plus.

The Cons…

There are only two cons to this product that were apparent to me, after having tried it myself. Firstly, it really doesn’t come with any sort of detailed cookbook. So, if you are new to the world of pressure cooking and want to guidance on what you may want to prepare, I recommend that you pick up a good cookbook when buying this unit. You could also just look online, as there are a variety of recipes to be found there.

Secondly, this unit is one of the few that doesn’t come with an advanced timer, which is a bit disappointing. So, if you wanted to have the unit turn itself on in advance, then this probably isn’t the appliance for you. For example, if you’d like for it to kick on in the early morning so that you can have hot oatmeal when you wake up, that isn’t possible with the Aroma APC-990 Pressure Cooker.

The Bottom Line…

This pressure cooker is ideal if you are looking for one that can easily prepare larger roasts or all-in-one-meals, such as if you plan on cooking up some delicious family casseroles or want to whip up stress free dinners while entertaining guests. It also happens to be quite affordable, which is a big plus, especially since it it so versatile.

The Aroma APC-990 Electric Pressure Cooker is simple and straightforward to use, so even those who may not be familiar with pressure cooking can take advantage of its many benefits. Not to mention that it comes with a lower price tag than other models that offer comparable features. The only drawback is that it doesn’t include an advanced timer option. However, if you would prefer to just start the cooker when you’re ready to prepare your meals, then this minor con shouldn’t deter you from choosing this model.

Fagor 670041460 Electric Pressure Cooker Review

January 8, 2014

Finding the right pressure cooker can prove to be quite the challenge, especially when looking for just the right one online. There are a variety of models to choose from, each with their own set of features and price point. So, picking the electric pressure cooker that offers you the functions you want and fits into your budget may be difficult, not to mention time consuming. For this very reason, I thought it might be wise to share my thoughts about one of the top pressure cookers on the market today- the Fagor 670041460.

This Fagor electric pressure cooker is loaded with a number of useful features, but is it the right one for you and your family? In this review, I’ll offer you an in depth glimpse at the pros and cons of this product, as well as some of its functions. Hopefully, it will provide you with all of the information that you need to determine if this model is the ideal option, or if you may need to continue on with your search for the perfect cooker.

The Specs…

The Fagor electric Pressure Cooker, holds up to 6 quarts and measures 14 x 14 x 13 inches. It weighs approximately 16 pounds , and the shipping weight of the product is 16 pounds.

The item includes a stainless steel exterior, for easy clean up, as well as a variety of safety features, including: a 2 pressure control valve system, anti-overheating protection, self-locking lid that is activated when the unit is pressurized, and an automatic pressure-release setting built into the unit.

This model usualy retails for around $82.00 plus shipping and handling if you purchase it online.

The Features…

Despite the fact that this unit does have a rather low price point when compared to similar units, it still offers a number of useful features. It comes with three programmable functions: high and low pressure cooking, keep warm, and brown, as well as a delayed timer function that will allow you to set it for up to 8 hours in advance.

The front of the unit features an easy to clean control panel, which includes an LED screen with soft touch buttons. The brushed stainless steel exterior make the appliance not only durable, but dirt-resistant. In fact, you can just wipe down the entire unit when you’re done with your meal prep to keep it tidy. The inner pot is also removable and dishwasher-safe.

The item also features three different functions that allow you to quickly and conveniently prepare meat, veggies, or rice. As such, it can take the place of any of the aforementioned appliances, which means that you won’t have to waste time or money purchasing a separate rice cooker or veggie steamer.

The Pros…

I am not necessarily easy to please when it comes to electric pressure cookers. After all, I’ve owned my fair share of them, and know just what to look for when I’m putting it through its paces, so to speak. However, I am happy to report that this affordable model is definitely a “keeper”. It’s pros far outweigh its cons, so you won’t have to worry about regretting the purchase of this particular unit.

The best thing about this pressure cooker is, without a doubt, its user friendly controls. There aren’t a myriad of buttons to choose from, but the ones that are there are simple and straightforward. These days, some of the other models’ control panels are so complicated, but the panel on this model allows you to access each of the functions without any frustration whatsoever.

The fact that it’s so easy to clean is also a big plus. You can just remove the inner pot and throw it into the dishwasher, and wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth if it gets greasy or dirty. It also has the ability to cook just about anything without any trouble. So, if you’re looking for a great appliance that can prepare fluffy rice, flavorful veggie, and tender meats, then you needn’t look any further than this unit.

Last, but certainly not least, the wide range of safety features that this unit offers is quite impressive, such as the locking lid and automatic pressure release. This is a big pro if you happen to be accident prone, or have smaller children in your home.

The Cons…

There are only two negatives that I have about this unit. The con actually doesn’t have anything to do with the appliance itself, but the cookbook that comes along with it. It would have been ideal if it were a bit longer and featured more recipes. However, that can easily be solved by hopping online and looking up electric pressure cooker recipes, or by purchasing a cookbook.

Secondly, if you happen to be looking for a cooker that does more than just the basics, just as simmering your foods, or features a timer that enables you to set the unit to come on  more than 8 hours in advance, then you may want to look for other options.

The Bottom Line…

If you’re looking for a great electric pressure cooker for a great price, then you’ll definitely want to consider this model. It’s easy to clean, easy to use, and offers a number of functions that will be extremely handy when you’re trying to prepare tasty meals fast. Since it does have an 8 hour advance timer, it’s also ideal for those who want a nice home cooked meal when they get home from work, or even those who may want to wake up to a warm pot of oatmeal in the morning.

Don’t let the lower price point trick you into thinking that the Fagor 670041460 Pressure Cooker has any shortage of functionality or durability. The simple truth is that this appliance will offer you wonderful value for your money, and even offers a variety of safety features that aren’t included with higher priced units.

Breville Fast Slow Cooker BPR600XL – The Specs…

The Breville Fast Slow Cooker holds up to 6 quarts and measures 13.2 x 11.2 x 13 inches. It weighs approximately 11 pounds, and its shipping weight is 16 pounds.

The unit features a stainless steel design, which includes a 3-way safety system for added peace of mind. The appliance comes standard with the following bonus accessories: stainless steel steaming tray and trivet, spatula (heat resistant), measuring cup, and serving spoon.

This model retails for around $180.00 plus shipping and handling online.

Breville Fast Slow Cooker BPR600XL – The Features…

This appliance doubles as both an electric pressure cooker and a slow cooker. You can set the pressure cooking function to low, medium, or high, while the slow cooking option can run for up to 8 hours. This unit also has a variety of different functions, aside from those two primary options, including: sauteing, searing, pressure steaming, and a keep warm function.

The easy to use control panel is fully programmable, allowing you to just set the timer and forget it. The removable cooking insert is coated in non-stick material for easy clean up, on both the inside and out of the insert.

Breville Fast Slow Cooker BPR600XL – The Pros…

The Breville Fast Slow Cooker is so great because it offers you the best of both worlds. Not only does it pressure cook meats and veggies to perfection, but slow cooks stews and casseroles until they are just right. A vast majority of the cookers that are available today seem to do just one thing very well, and this unit is the exception to that rule.

The fact that you can sear the meats right in the cooker before pressurizing them is a big plus, because you don’t have to worry about dirtying another pan or making a mess of your stove top. Not to mention that you can also saute veggies to make them softer and bring out more flavor before steaming them.

You can make sauce reductions right in the pot as well. You just need to remove the meat and leave in the juices, add your thickener, and you have a delicious gravy or sauce in a matter of minutes (again, without dirtying another pot).

The steamer basket and rack insert that’s included with the unit is a big pro, given that you can keep meat out of the liquid while you’re pressurizing if you want it to be a bit drier. Many electric pressure cookers don’t come with one of these racks, unfortunately.

Last, but not least, it’s great that the timer doesn’t actually start counting down until the unit is pressurized. That means you won’t have to try and guess just how long it’s going to take, which really comes in handy if you want to serve your meal at a certain time (as is the case at dinner parties or get togethers).

Breville Fast Slow Cooker BPR600XL – The Cons…

There are really only a few small negatives in regards to this product. Firstly it can be a bit hard to clean if the contents drip onto the outside of the appliance. Also, the inner pot is non-stick, so it’s easy to clean, but it is rather thin and easily scratches. So, you may want to consider having a back up inner pot on hand just in case.

Another con is that the slow cooker function doesn’t have as many settings as I would have liked. Even though it works great as a slow cooker, the lack of options may be a bit of a downside. For example, if you want to slow cook something for 7 hours, you’ll have to manually shut it off at the 7 hour mark, as you can only set the timer to 6 or 8 hours, not in between.

Finally, the price of this unit is a bit seep, especially when compared to other models that we’ve mentioned on our site. A vast majority of the other electric pressure cookers are around $100, and this one is listed at about $180. So, if you’re looking for a more economical model, then the Breville Fast Slow Cooker probably isn’t the one for you.

Breville Fast Slow Cooker BPR600XL – The Bottom Line…

I would recommend this appliance to anyone who’s looking for a versatile pressure cooker or slow cooker. In fact, I would even go so far as to say that, if you are in the market for a crock pot, you should get this instead. After all, it may be useful to have a reliable pressure cooker on hand should the need arise to make meats in a fraction of the time, right?

If you want a great pressure cooker and slow cooker, then this one is definitely worth the higher price tag if you can fit it into your budget. Especially since it is of exceptional quality and is probably going to last for years to come.

Picking out the right pressure cooker can be a daunting  task (even for the most experienced pressure cooks). So, instead of searching the web for reviews on today’s top models, we offer you the opportunity to have a look at reviews for today’s leading models, all in one place. We’ll let you know which electric pressure cooker is perfect for you and your family, so that you can avoid dreaded buyer’s remorse when purchasing your next cooker.

If you’ve been searching for the right electric pressure cooker, you will have probably already discovered that there is an overwhelming selection to choose from these days. While one may offer you all of the features you have in mind, it may not be within your budget, or vice versa. As such, finding just the right one can prove to be a challenge in and of itself.

One of the highest rated models available today is the Instant Pot IP-LUX50. But how does this appliance stand up when compared to other similarly priced models, and is it the right pressure cooker for your needs? This review will give you an up close look at the pros, cons, and features of this electric pressure cooker, and even offers my honest opinion about whether or not this one is worth the money.

The Specs…

The Instant Pot IP-LUX50 holds up to 5.28 quarts and measures 13 x 12.2 x 11.8 inches . It weighs 13.5 pounds, and the shipping weight of the product is 14.3 pounds. This Instant Pot unit is also UL & ULC Certified.

The unit features a 5L/5.28Qt 3-Ply Stainless Steel Cooking Pot, as well as a stainless steel steaming rack that can be inserted into the inner pot. It includes 10 safey mechanisms for added peace of mind, and utilizes 3rd generation technology for optimal efficiency.

This model usually retails for around $115.00 plus shipping and handling if you are purchasing it online.

 71bqRrW-6sL._SL1500_ (Small)

The Features…

This electric pressure cooker offers you the ability to carry out 6 functions with just one appliance. You can use it as a Pressure Cooker, Saute your foods before cooking them, steam rice, slow cook meals, steam veggies, and warm up leftovers. Best of all, each of these functions can be easily accessed by a simple to use control panel.

The Instant Pot IP-LUX50 includes a delay cooking feature, that allows you to set the timer up to 24 hours in advance. It also comes with an Automatic Keep-warm mode, that keeps your meals piping hot for when you are ready to eat. There is also a manual setting option, which enables you to set the cooker for up to 120 Minute Cook Time

This product also comes with a recipe and cooking time table (which are available in English, Spanish, Chinese, and French). So, you can start making mouth watering meals as soon as you take it out of the box.

 81NV8hzmBLL._SL1500_ (Small)

—->> Click Here for Pricing, Pictures and Reviews on Amazon.com

The Pros…

Without a doubt, one of the best things about this electric pressure cooker is that you can do so much with it. While some of the similarly priced models may only offer you the ability to carry out a few key functions, this one comes with 10 built in programs. There are 3 different temperature settings if you want to saute or brown your foods, which is a big plus. The fact that it slow cooks is yet another convincing argument for choosing this appliance over the others in its price range.

It’s smaller than some of the other models, given that it only fits up to 5.28 quarts, but that’s still large enough to fit a good size roast or whole chicken. So, if you’re letting the size deter you from purchasing this unit, you will be happy to know that it’s spacious enough to feed a family of four with no problem at all.

Another big perk is that it includes a manual mode, which many electric pressure cookers don’t feature these days. So, if you don’t want to use one of the handy preset functions (which I think are spot-on when it comes to getting my meats tender and my veggies cooked to perfection) then you can customize your own settings.

Last, but certainly not least, one big pro that stood out for me was that it has a stainless steel exterior and interior, which is quite rare. As such, not only does it work very well, but it looks great sitting out on the counter if you don’t want to have to bother with putting it away after you use it each time.

 71fI9CDrLsL._SL1500_ (Small)

The Cons…

There isn’t very much to say in regards to cons with this product. One minor setback is that the slow cooker feature isn’t covered under the delay timer function. This means that you cannot set the slow cooker to switch on while you are away. Also, this unit can be a bit noisy, especially when compared to other models, such as the Deni 9740 Electric 4.2-Quart Pressure Cooker. So, if you are looking for a nearly silent unit, then you may want to opt for another model.

Also, if you prefer non-stick inner pots, for easier clean up after meal prep, then you will have to order one for this unit or get another electric pressure cooker altogether, as this one only comes with a stainless steel insert.

Finally, the instructions that it comes with can be a bit confusing. However, the Instant Pot customer service is great, and you can always find more information for how to use the cooker online, so that really shouldn’t be a major problem in the grand scheme of things. Plus, the programmable functions are so easy to use that you probably won’t have to refer to the instructions very much in the first place.

The Bottom Line…

This is a wonderful electric pressure cooker and I highly recommend it. It’s a bit less expensive than the next pot in the series (the Instant Pot IP-LUX60), but it does virtually everything that that one does with ease.  The only downside is that it’s a bit smaller than the other model in the line, so you may not have quite as many leftovers. Other than that, however, it’s efficient, multifunctional, and has a wide range of features that will definitely come in handy if you’re looking for a time and energy saving pressure cooking appliance (that won’t break the bank).

Deni 9740 Electric 4.2-Quart Pressure Cooker

January 2, 2014

Have you been scouring the web to find just the right electric pressure cooker for you and your family? If so, then you’ve definitely come to the right place. I know, from first hand experience, that the sheer abundance of choices out there today can make it challenging to find the cooker that has all the features you want at a price you can afford. As such, I thought I’d share my honest opinion about one of the most highly rated electric pressure cookers available today…the Deni 9740 Electric 4.2-Quart Pressure Cooker.

Sure this cooker may be a popular choice, but is it really worth your hard earned dollar? Do the cons far outweigh the pros, and is there possibly another selection that you may want to consider instead of this Deni model? In this review, I’ll take an up close look at its features, specs, and even the up and down sides to owning this product.

The Specs…

The Deni Pressure Cooker, holds up to 4.2 quarts and measures 15 x 11.5 x 12 inches. It weighs approximately 6.1 pounds , and the shipping weight of the product is 14.3 pounds.

It comes standard with a removable cooking pot coated with a non-stick material for easy clean up, which features stay-cool side handles. The exterior of the appliance is constructed from brushed stainless steel.

This model retails for around $115.00 plus shipping and handling online.

The Features…

This electric pressure cooker offers a number of useful features, including the ability to cook and both high and low pressure settings and a programmable timer for added convenience. The digital control panel allows you to access programmed settings with the touch of a button, making this unit extremely easy to use.

The delay cooking time feature allows you to set the cooker in advance, while the programmed settings include a wide range of options, including: warming, browning, and slow cooking.

For added security, they’ve also equipped it with a steam release valve, so that you can avoid pressure cooking related burns. The stay cool side handles also allow you to grab the unit without risk of injury.

The Pros…

One of the most significant pros of this product is that it operates very quietly. You won’t have to worry about the loud hissing or humming sound that a pressure cooking usually makes, nor will you have to put up with escaping food odors. The seals fit pretty snugly, which helps to seal in any smells.

Secondly, the fact that it has a non-stick interior is great for easy clean up. You won’t have to worry about scraping last night dinner out of the pot if you want to let the dishes go until the morning (which I tend to do on some occasions). It’s very easy to use as well. Some electric pressure cookers that you’ll come across today are almost impossible to operate (and their instruction booklets read like NASA manuals). However, this one is simple and straightforward, which is a big plus.

Also, it’s perfect if you want to make meals for 2 to 3 people, or side dishes, given its smaller quart capacity. You can save power, as it uses less energy than if you were to cook on the stove top, and allows you to seal in the flavors and juices of your foods. In addition, your foods actually contain more of their natural vitamins and nutrients, since you won’t have to cook them for as long and won’t have to use as much liquid.

The Cons…

There are a few cons that you’ll probably notice when using this product. First and foremost, it is not the most attractive pressure cooker on the market today, and it does take up quite a bit of room. In fact, you probably won’t want to leave it out on your counter, but will discover that it takes up a lot of space in your cabinets.

Also, it doesn’t have steaming capabilities, unless you purchase a steaming rack that you can insert into the unit, especially if you plan on steaming rice in the appliance. This means that you’ll have to pay more on top of what you’ve already spent on the unit (and it’s not necessarily the cheapest model available today).

The fact that you cannot simmer the food, as you can with the similarly priced Cuisinart CPC-600 is a minor setback, given that you will have to do that on the stove top after you’ve already pressure cooked your meals. For example, if you want to add in ingredients to a risotto or casserole, you will have to do that after the fact. This not only takes time, but requires that you dirty another pot in the process.

The Bottom Line…

—->> Click Here for Pricing, Pictures and Reviews on Amazon.com

This is a great unit if you’re looking for one that primarily pressure cooks. However, if you’re in search of an electric pressure cooker that simmers, steams, and cooks rice with ease, then you may want to look elsewhere. Also, it’s not really the least expensive option out there, especially given that it doesn’t include a variety of bells and whistles.

With that being said, its design is durable and it is very efficient when it comes to pressure cooking. It’s ideal for a smaller family, or even if you are only cooking for one and want some leftovers. Also, if you are new to the world of pressure cooking, this may be a great option for you, given that the programmable settings are easy to use and you probably won’t have any trouble figuring out how to use the cooker once you unpack it and plug it in. In fact, you’ll most likely be able to get cooking right away.

If you have a busy schedule, then this can make a world of difference, given that traditional cooking clean up can be very time consuming. Not with this electric pressure cooker though. In fact, it even features a non-stick exterior, which is rare for cookers in this price range.

Also, even though the product description doesn’t mention this (oddly enough) this unit operates almost silently, and doesn’t really produce that much heat. That means you can use it even in the summertime, without having to worry about warming up the house.

The size of this particular appliance is also just right. It’s large enough to fit a large roast or chicken, but doesn’t take up too much space on the counter top, like an eight quart model would. It’s perfect for a family of four to six.

The bonuses that it comes with are a big perk, as well. It includes a cooking rack, measuring cup, spoon, and even a spoon holder. And the condensation cup is great for keeping liquids off the counter and in the cooker where they belong.

It can also make foods that you may not necessarily think would be ideal for a pressure cooking appliance, such as fluffy white rice and mac and cheese, among many other tasty side dishes. You just set the timer and pre-set, and walk away, it’s as simple as that. In a fraction of the time that it would normally take to prepare delectable meals on the stove top, you’ll have nutrient-packed dishes with a minimal amount of kitchen tidying involved.

The Cons…

Honestly, there are very few bad things that I have to say about this electric pressure cooker. It doesn’t come with detailed instructions or a recipe book, so you’ll need to go to the manufacturer’s site, and pick up a pressure cooker book  (or look online) to get ideas for some tasty recipes.

Also, while it may not be as large as some other similarly priced pressure cookers, it is still quite substantial. So, if you only have a small space to store the unit or don’t have very much room on your counter to place the cooker while you are using it, then you may want to think about getting a smaller unit (such as the 4 quart GoWISE USA 6-in-1 Electric Stainless-Steel Programmable Pressure Cooker).

Lastly, the higher pressure cooker setting does have a rather low PSI. So, if you are planning on using the manual setting options and want to fully customize your cooking time, then you’ll want to keep that in mind, especially if you’d like to make foods that may require a higher pressure to cook through.

The Bottom Line…

I would highly recommend this for anyone who is looking for an affordably priced electric pressure cooker that gets the job done without breaking your budget. It can make meats in a fraction of the time, and help you to prepare side dishes with no fuss. The fact that it does come with a one year warranty gives you added peace of mind, and its myriad of safety features makes it safe for use in homes with smaller children.

Overall, the West Bend Pressure Cooker is definitely worth giving a try if you’re looking for an electric pressure cooker that also doubles as a rice cooker and slow cooker.

December 29, 2013

Finding it difficult to find unbiased reviews of today’s top electric pressure cookers. If so, then you’ve come to the right place. After all, not all pressure cookers are created equal. And, while one may have the features that you’re looking for, it’s important to find out if the cons may outweigh the pros before you make your purchase.

It offers a variety of time saving features, and its ease of use, but is it really worth the investment? In this review, we’ll give you a detailed look at the advantages of this product, as well as some of the drawbacks that you may want to keep in mind. We will also let you know how it stacks up against other top models, so that you can reassured that you’re getting the pressure cooker that’s just right for you.

The Specs…

The Emeril Electric Pressure Cooker has a six quart capacity. It measures 14.1 x 14.1 x 16.5 inches.  The shipping weight of the product is also around 15 pounds.

The product includes a 6-Quart nonstick cookware inner pot, which is also dishwasher safe. Bonuses that accompany the appliance are a high quality steamer bowl and a recipe book, which features 47 recipies from emeril and t-fal, so that you can test out your new cooker by making delicious meals right away.

This model sells for about $120.00 plus shipping and handling online.

The Features…

This pressure cooker has fully automatic settings, which allow you to simply press a button to set the perfect time, pressure, and temperature for your meal. The LED display feature a countdown timer, enabling you to see exactly when you’re meal will be ready to serve.

The 6-Quart nonstick inner pot that’s included is coated with a non-stick material, making it easier to clean after meal preparation, and the unit comes standard with a recipe book that was created by famed chef, Emeril Lagasse and T-Fal (a trusted name in cooking ware).

For added peace of mind, the appliance also features a hermetically sealed locking lid, that allows all of the heat, food odors, and steam to stay in, and keeps the bacteria out. This also insures that your food is more nutritious and flavorful, thanks to the fact that the natural vitamins and minerals stay where they belong.

The Pros…

One of the most significant advantages to owning this T-Fal pressure cooker is that it does a little bit of everything. Not only does it pressure cook meats to perfection, but it also makes a great stew, chili, or casserole. Best of all, it does all of this about 70% faster than if I would have prepared the same foods on the stove top. You can roast an entire chicken in under half an hour (depending upon its size, of course), and can whip up a side dish quickly and conveniently.

Also, there’s virtually no clean up to take care of after you’ve prepared your meal, given that the appliance includes a non-stick inner pot. You can even prepare beans (without soaking them overnight in most cases, I might add), and clean them up afterward in a matter of seconds.

The other functions it offers, such as browning and sauteing are also great time savers. You can do everything in one pot, without having to worry about purchasing other appliances that will do the same tasks.

I thought I should also mention that the cook book included with the cooker is an actual book, rather than the thin pamphlet that usually comes with appliances of this type. The fact that Emeril Lagasse helped to create the recipes is a big plus, as well. They’ll give you the chance to make restaurant style meals quickly (and for much less), so you’ll definitely want to try some of them out once you receive your cooker.

The Cons…

There are, however, a few setbacks to owning this particular pressure cooker that I thought were worth mentioning. First of all, it is rather large. Plan on it taking up a good deal of space on your counter top or in your cabinets.

Next, the directions that it comes with aren’t particularly clear. You may have to look online in order to find out just how to use it if you’re new to pressure cooking, or you can call the company’s help line to see if they can provide you with any assistance.

Also, you’ll want to be sure not to use metal utensils when you’re stirring the contents or removing them, as the bottom surface of the inner pot is prone to scratching. Instead, you’ll want to opt for soft silicone utensils. The inserts themselves can be quite difficult to get a hold of, and you need that insert to stay intact if you want to keep using the appliance safely.

Lastly, it would have been nice if the exterior was a bit more aesthetically pleasing and easier to clean. Many models in this price range feature brushed stainless steel finishes, but this one does not. It’s a bit taller, as well, especially when compared to other units of the same capacity.

The Bottom Line…

—->> Click Here for Pricing, Pictures and Reviews on Amazon.com

I highly recommend this electric pressure cooker if you are looking for a model that is easy to clean up, relatively easy to use, and is constructed to a very high standard. However, it is at the higher end of the price range scale, especially considering that most of the other highly rated electric pressure cookers that we’ve reviewed on this site are under $100.

Overall, this unit is great for those who want a durable product that is pretty simple and straightforward to use, and are willing to pay a bit more to get it. Otherwise, you may want to opt for another more affordable electric pressure cooker. With that being said, you’ll definitely want to consider purchasing this one if you want an appliance that’s going to stand the test of time and provide you with wholesome, delicious, and quickly prepared meals for years to come.

However, how does this particular stack up against other similarly priced models, and is it worth the investment? In this review, we’ll have an in depth look at the features, specs, and pros and cons of this Nesco product. The Specs…

The Nesco PC6-25P Electric Programmable Pressure Cooker has a six quart capacity. It measures 12.6 x 12.6 x 18.2 inches, and weighs about 13.5 pounds. The shipping weight of the product is roughly 14 pounds if you’re purchasing it online.

The housing of the appliance is made of brushed stainless steel, and includes a cool touch lid and handles, for added safety. The product also features a removable dishwasher-safe inner pot, which is coated with non-stick materials for easy clean up.

This Nesco Pressure Cooker sells for around $75.00 plus shipping and handling.

The Features…

This pressure cooker doesn’t fall short when it comes to useful features.  In fact, it offers you the ability to carry out three different functions by using just one appliance. You can pressure cook, slow cook (for up to 9.5 hours), or even brown your meats before cooking. The cooker also enables you to steam vegetables and other foods, as well as reheat leftovers.

It features a self locking lid for added safety, as well as an automatic (or manual) pressure release option. The LED display is easy to use and features soft touch buttons, which offer you the ability to access a variety of programmed presets that make cooking your favorite meals a cinch.

There is also a delayed start option, wherein you can arrange for the unit to begin cooking up to 8 hours in advance. That means you can set it at night before you go to bed, and have a wonderful pot of warm porridge ready for you when you get up the next morning.

This model includes an inner pot that is removable and dishwasher-safe. So, you won’t have to worry about spending vast amounts of time in the kitchen cleaning up pots and pans after your meal.

The Pros…

One of the most significant benefits of owning the  Nesco PC6-25P is that it reaches a higher PSI which is very rare for many similarly priced models. Many hover around 9 PSI, in fact. Many pressure cooker recipes are actually based upon a 15 PSI measurement, which means that (if you are using the manual setting option) you can more accurately adjust the directions that are included in the recipe.

On the other hand, the preset options are wonderful as well. You can just add in the ingredients, put on the lid, push a button, and get cooking. You won’t have to spend a great deal of time trying to figure out exactly how long you’ll have to leave a chicken or roast in there for, as the machine will do all of the calculating for you thanks to the programmed settings. Also, the pre-set options can be overridden, which is also unusual for electric pressure cookers.

Another thing that I’d like to point out is that this appliance is great at pressure cooking, but also wonderful when it comes to slow cooking. That means that you don’t have to buy an additional slow cooker on the side (big money and time saver).

Lastly, the warming feature is fantastic. You can come home to a nice big pot of stew or a nice hot roast, without having to worry about it cooling down after it’s finished cooking your meal. This is also great for entertaining, because you can just set it and leave it until you’re ready to serve to your guests.

The Cons…

There is very little that I can say about this appliance that will shed a negative light. It does exactly what it says it will do in the product description, and can make your food taste better (and even more nutritious). However, I feel that I should point out just a couple of things that you may want to consider before purchasing.

Firstly, it would be great if they included a rack that was rust-resistant, as the one that comes standard with the unit can begin to discolor over time. Also, the unit can take quite some time to actually built up pressure. So, you’ll want to account for that when preparing your meal. For example, if you’re getting a stew ready for guests coming over that night, start it a half hour earlier than you normally would.

In addition, the cooking surface is made out of Teflon, so if you don’t care for a non-stick surface then you may want to go with another model, such as the Instant Pot IP-LUX60. Also, you can easily damage the non-stick surface, so be sure to only use soft utensils when stirring the contents.

The Bottom Line…

The Nesco PC6-25P Electric Pressure Cooker does not disappoint when it comes to pressure cooking, and even slow cooking. The best part is the price point, given that it retails typically for under $80, but is still extremely efficient and easy to use.

Overall, this is the perfect electric pressure cooker if you you’re looking for one that doesn’t necessarily have all of the bells and whistles, but is still able to cook meats, stews, and side dishes to perfection. However, if you’re looking for one that carries out a multitude of functions, such as steaming rice, then you may want to opt for another higher priced model.

Deni 9770 Electric Pressure Cooker (2 Quart)

December 28, 2013

I thought it was important to preface this review by mentioning that I am a big fan of pressure cooking. I use my pressure cooker whenever possible, for the simple fact that it cuts down meal prep time and makes foods taste better. As such, I’ve gone through my fair share of electric pressure cooking appliances, and am always in pursuit of the perfect product.

Recently, I had the opportunity to try out the Deni 9770 Electric Pressure Cooker. A friend of mine had been raving about it, so I gave in and finally got one of my own, so that I could put it to the test and share my findings. Read my detailed review below to see the specs, pros and cons of this electric pressure cooker, and to find out if it received my stamp of approval.

The Specs…

This Deni Pressure Cooker has a two quart capacity. It measures 15 x 11.5 x 12 inches , and weighs about 6.1 pounds. The shipping weight of the product is also around 8 pounds. It uses 600-watts power while operating.

The outside of the appliance is made of brushed stainless steel, and includes a cool touch lid and handles, for safety. The product comes standard with a pressure safety lid locks, which allow for increased pressure build up and added security while the appliance is pressurized. It also features a  steam release valve, so that you can release pressure quickly and conveniently. The inner pot is removable, and includes a non-stick coating that is easy to clean.

This model goes for around $55.00 plus shipping and handling online.

The Features…

The Deni Pressure Cooker features an LED Display and digital control panel, making it easy to start cooking your meals in just seconds. Its innovative design also allows you to  reduce cooking time by up to 70%, when compared to stove top or oven cooking.

The delay time feature (which goes up to 9 hours) is a big plus for those who are always on the go, as it enables you to set the timer in advance and come home to a warm, delicious meal. Best of all, given that you use only a fraction of the liquid you would normally use, you can rest assured that your foods are going to retain a vast majority of their vitamins and minerals.

The compact design of this appliance makes it perfect for smaller spaces. However, even though it may be smaller, it still is extremely versatile for its size. There are various settings for preparing: chicken, beef, rice, soups, stews, and vegetables.

—->> Click Here for Pricing, Pictures and Reviews on Amazon.com

The Pros…

The best thing about this product is its size and design. Most electric pressure cookers on the market today are big and bulky. They not only take up a great deal of counter space, but storage space as well. That’s not the case with the Deni 9770 Electric Pressure Cooker. Despite the fact that it is more compact, it still feeds a family of four with ease.

The digital controls are also extremely simple and straightforward to use. Given that some of the other pressure cookers on the market today can have control panels can be challenging, to say the least, it’s refreshing to have pre-set settings that allow you to cook your favorite meals without scouring the web for appropriate cooking times or PSI settings.

The Dupont non stick inner pot (which features a Teflon Scratchguard surface) is ideal for quick clean up. You won’t have to spend time in the kitchen after the fact, trying to scratch off remnants of meats or grains, which is always a plus. The keep warm option is also great, since you won’t have to worry about your meal cooling down if the pressurization stops before you get home or are ready to eat.

The Cons…

There are just a few small cons that I have noticed for this particular pressure cooker. However, I must say that none of the setbacks I’m about to mention will be very significant for a vast majority of pressure cooker users. Firstly, the size of this cooker can be troublesome for some, especially if you want to make larger roasts or whole chickens, as it is only a 2 quart.

Also, you have to be careful about how much liquid you use, since this unit does take a bit of time to actually build up pressure. If you add in too much liquid, you can drastically lengthen cooking times and end up with less than desirable results.

Lastly, it can take quite some time for the unit to cool off once it’s done cooking. Since it has the keep warm function, you’ll have to turn that off and wait for about half an hour before even trying to touch the appliance, as the inner pot can stay rather hot. This also means that it’s not the safest unit to have in a household with curious children. However, you can just insure that you keep it out of their reach if you’re concerned about this.

The Bottom Line…

—->> Click Here for Pricing, Pictures and Reviews on Amazon.com

This is one of the most affordable models that I’ve reviewed, as well as the smallest, but it’s one that I’d definitely recommend to anyone who is only planning on preparing small meals or side dishes. All of the drawbacks to the product are rather small, in the grand scheme of things, and really shouldn’t keep you from giving this appliance a try if you’re in the market for a compact and efficient model.

If you would like a unit that has a wide range or pre-set settings, then this is ideal. It also has a feature that allows you to manually set your cooking time (but only for up to 99 minutes). So, if you’re looking for a do-it-yourself option for more complex or time consuming meals, then you may want to opt for another model, such as the Instant Pot IP-LUX60 6-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker. However, that also comes with a higher price tag.

Overall, if you are on the lookout for a budget friendly electric pressure cooker for smaller quantities of food, this is definitely the way to go.

TATUNG TPC6L 10 Cup Electric Pressure Cooker

December 28, 2013

Pressure cookers have come a long way since the manual stove top models were introduced. As a matter of fact, the electric pressure cookers you’ll find on the market today are not only safer, but can make meal prep a cinch. Not to mention that they allow your foods to keep more of their nutrients and vitamins, given that you don’t have to use as much liquid to actually cook your meals. Seeing as how modern technological advancements have made the pressure cooker a must-have kitchen gadget, I thought that I would try out one of the top rated models…the TATUNG TPC6L 10 Cup Electric Pressure Cooker.

Not to give too much away right at the start, I have to admit that I was, overall, quite pleased with this Tatung product. It has a wide range of features. And, while its “keep warm” function can be handy, it can also make things a bit challenging when you’re trying to prepare items that may require longer cooking items. To see what I thought about the TATUNG Pressure Cooker, have a look at my detailed review, which includes the product’s features, as well as its pros and cons.

The Specs…

This TATUNG Pressure Cooker, holds up to ten cups. It measures 13 x 14 x 13 inches, and weighs about 12 pounds. The shipping weight of the product is also around 12 pounds.

The housing of the appliance is constructed of stainless steel, and includes a durable white plastic lid and handles. The product comes standard with a Preset Timer function, as well as an LED display panel that offers programmable control.

The TATUNG TPC6L 10 Cup Electric Pressure Cooker retails for around $123.00 plus shipping and handling online.

The Features…

This electric pressure cooker offers 10 preset cooking times, making it simple and straightforward to cook foods to perfection. It also features an easy to read and operate LED display, through which can access a myriad of programmable functions.

The inner pot is made of stainless steel, so you won’t have to worry about non-stick coating debris getting into your food. The materials used in the design of this appliance are of high quality, and Tatung is known for their durable items, as well as for their craftsmanship.

—->> Click Here for Pricing, Pictures and Reviews on Amazon.com

The Pros…

First, let me begin by saying that this is a great pressure cooker. It’s versatile, and can cook rice, stews, and soups in a fraction of the time that it would take on the stove top. Meats come out of the cooker juicy and flavorful, and grains are light and fluffy.

The fact that it comes with a wide range of pre-set functions is a big perk, given that you don’t have to worry about overcooking or under cooking any food items. Essentially, this cooker takes all of the guesswork out of pressure cooking. No need to concern yourself with the length of time you’ll need to leave it in for, or the PSI you’ll need to set it to.

The keep warm mode is also wonderful, given that you can ensure that you’ll have piping hot meals when you come home from a long day at work, even if it’s finished actually cooking hours before.

The lid is detachable, which makes it really easy to clean. Most other models don’t have lids that do this (or it is extremely difficult to do so), so this is a big pro for this unit. And, lastly, the stainless steel that’s used is durable and not prone to denting, which is far better than the aluminum inner pots that many other cookers use.

The Cons…

The biggest con of this product is its short cooking time. In fact, you only set it for up to one hour. This can be problematic if you’re planning on making something that requires a lengthy stay in the cooker. After this hour is up, you’ll have to restart the cooker, if you are using its manual timer.

Also, the keep warm mode may be great for some foods, but not for others. For example, if you are planning on using this as a rice steamer, then this can leave your rice dry and sticky. And, you aren’t able to switch this mode off, which is a bit disappointing. As such, this may not be the best option if you are looking for a pressure cooker that specializes in rice or other grains.

Yet another setback is that you will have to use an independent socket for the TATUNG Pressure Cooker (which may difficult to pull off if you have a number of things already plugged into your kitchen outlets).

Last, but certainly not least, one of the most significant cons of this product is not the unit itself, but the manual. It’s quite disorganized and unclear, which can make it challenging to operate the appliance, especially for new pressure cooker users.

The Bottom Line…

This pressure cooker is ideal if you’re looking for an appliance that can perfectly cook meats, stews, and vegetables, and have them hot and ready for you when you arrive home. The manufacturer has a proven track record of high quality products, and the TATUNG TPC6L 10 Cup Electric Pressure Cooker does not disappoint in that regard.

However, it’s not the most affordable model on the market today, and there are others out there, such as the MaxiMatic EPC-808 Elite Platinum that are far more versatile and more budget friendly. Despite this, the Tatung electric pressure cooker is perfect for those who want a variety of programmed settings and are planning on using the product primarily for pressure cooking meats and all-in-one meals.

The Specs…

The MaxiMatic EPC-808 Elite Platinum Pressure Cooker holds up to eight quarts. It measures 15 x 15.3 x 15 inches, and weighs about 17 pounds. The shipping weight of the product is approximately 22 pounds.

The housing of the appliance is constructed of brushed stainless steel, and the 8 quart removable cooking pot includes a non-stick coating, which makes for quick and easy clean up after meal preparation.

This model retails for around $95.00 plus shipping and handling online.

The Features…

Given that this model goes for under $100, the variety of features that it does offer are quite impressive. It can out 14 different functions, which is by far the most that I’ve seen any pressure cooker do in this price range. Its functions include: reheating foods, cooking brown and white rice, preparing vegetables and fish, and making some mouth watering soups.

However, it can also prepare potatoes, desserts, pork roasts, ribs, chicken, beans, stew, and even wild rice and grains. Not to mention that it has a browning and keep warm function, as well. As an added bonus, you can use the Maxi Matic Pressure Cooker to can.

The 24-hour delay timer gives you the ability to program cooking in advance, so that you can set it in the morning and come home to a delicious meal in the afternoon or evening. The keep warm feature works for up to 12 hours, and helps to ensure that your foods are hot and ready when you are.

The programmed settings allow you to cook a variety of food items without having to worry about PSI settings or timing. However, if you do want customized cooking, then the appliance also has a programmable pressurized cooking timer that you can set for between 0 to 99 minutes.

The Pros…

Where do I even begin when it comes to the pros of this product? Not only does it make cooking meats and a variety of other foods a cinch, but the clean up involved is a fraction of what’s usually required after traditional meal prep. Plus, the fact that the inner pot is removable is an added perk, given that you won’t have to worry about scraping food items from the bottom after you’ve enjoyed your delicious meal.

Secondly, it has a feature that I haven’t seen with too many other electric pressure cookers, wherein it automatically resumes cooking one power is restored if you have a power outage. So, if you live in area that’s prone to brief electricity outages, you can rest assured that you’ll still have a great meal waiting for you, even if you’re away from the house all day.

Another thing that is definitely worth mentioning is the fact that the programmable functions make it ideal for those who may be new to pressure cooking, or even experienced pressure cookers who don’t want to have to deal with PSI and figuring out cooking items for each meal. You can just choose the food that you are preparing, push a button, and get cooking.

Essentially, you won’t have to use another cooking appliance or gadget when preparing your meals if you have the MaxiMatic EPC-808 Pressure Cooker in your kitchen. You can saute veggies before steaming them to make them softer, brown roasts to seal in their flavor, and even reheat leftovers in half the time (without sacrificing any flavor).

The Cons…

There are just a couple of drawbacks to this pressure cooker. They aren’t very significant, but are worth mentioning. Firstly, the fact that it does have so many programmable functions can be a bit challenging, especially if you want full control over your cooking settings. The good news is that you can access customized settings if you want to adjust the cooking time or the level of pressurization.

Also, the design of this machine is a bit flawed. Many cookers these days offer a fingerprint-proof design, to reduce the amount of clean up on the outside of the appliance. However, this one does not. The plastic lid can become dirtied quite easily, and is hard to remove for washing.

Lastly, the unit is rather large, given that it fits up to 8 quarts. That’s great if you need to prepare larger amounts of food at once, but you probably won’t want to leave it on your counter after you are through using it.

The Bottom Line…

If you’re looking for an electric pressure cooker that does a bit of everything, and don’t mind that it takes up a bit more space than your average pressure cooker, then the MaxiMatic EPC-808 Elite Platinum should be at the top of your list. It has a lower price point, is extremely easy to clean, and has a wide variety of useful features.

You can just select from one of its many programmable functions and make meals in a snap. Honestly, the only regret that you’ll probably have after purchasing this appliance is that you didn’t get one ages ago.

In fact, it comes with a 24-hour delay timer. The stainless steel inner cooking pot that’s included can be removed and washed in the dishwasher, and the lid features technology that makes it cool to the touch, even when the appliance is pressurized.

The Pros…

The best thing about this pressure cooker is that it has a variety of functions all rolled into one appliance. You can saute your veggies before steaming them, brown your meats to sear in the flavor, or even cook rice. That means that you won’t have to worry about getting a myriad of other appliances if you opt for this model, which is a big money and time saver.

Another major perk that is definitely worth mentioning is the stainless steel pot that’s included. You can easily remove it, throw it in the dishwasher to clean it after use, or even freeze it if you have some leftovers. The fact that it doesn’t have a non-stick coating allows you to use utensils to stir foods inside of the cooker without scratching remnants of aluminum or Teflon into your meal.

This pressure cooker is a great choice if you’re looking for an appliance that is well designed and sturdily constructed, then you may want to consider the Secura EPC-S600 6-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker . When compared to other similar models, such as the Fagor 670040230 Stainless-Steel 3-in-1 6-Quart Multi-Cooker, you’ll find that it’s actually far more versatile and easier to use.

The Cons…

There are only a couple of issues with this electric pressure cooker, all of which are quite small. Firstly, the fact that it doesn’t have a non-stick coating can be considered a bit of drawback for those who are planning on hand washing their unit. However, if you are just going to throw it into the dishwasher one you’re through cooking with it, than this probably won’t prove to be a problem, whatsoever.

Another con is that it doesn’t really have a low pressure cooking setting, so you have to be careful not to overcook food items. With that being said, this can be easily remedied once you’ve had the appliance for quite some time, and have gotten used to cooking times and such.

Also, if you’re planning on cooking meats in the Secura electric pressure cooker, then you’ll have to purchase a rack (which is included as one of its optional accessories), which can then be inserted into the stainless steel inner pot.

Lastly, it is quite a large pressure cooker. When placed on the counter, it just about reaches the bottom of the cabinets in my kitchen, and it takes up almost an entire cupboard. So, you may not want to leave it on the counter at all times, as you will lose a lot of space for meal prep.

The Bottom Line…

When it comes to value for your money, it doesn’t get much better than the Secura EPC-S600 6-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker. It cooks rice, steams veggies, makes delicious soups and porridge, and offers you the chance to cook meats to perfection in a fraction of the time that you could on the stove top or in a traditional oven.

If you’re looking for an electric pressure cooker that’s easy to use, easy to clean, and carries out a wide range of functions for a very low price point, then this is the one for you. However, if you’re in search of something that is non-stick or more compact, then you may want to consider other options.

The Pros…

One of the best things about this model, without a doubt, is its ease of use. Some electric pressure cookers out there today are a challenge to operate, with directions that are complicated and disorganized. However, for this model the operations are simple and straightforward.

Clean up is also a cinch, thanks to the non-stick inner pot. It’s coated with Teflon, which means that you won’t have to spend hours trying to scrape off bits of meats or vegetables when it’s time to tidy up the kitchen after your meal.

Another thing that really stands out about this particular cooker is that it is quite versatile, especially for the lower price. You can saute vegetables before cooking them in order to soften them, or brown meats to seal in their juices before pressurizing the unit.

The utensils that it comes with (the steel rack, plastic spoon, and plastic cup) make meal prep even easier. And the instructions that it comes with are simple and straightforward, which is a huge plus. Also, while it’s running you really aren’t able to hear it, thanks to its near silent operation. In fact, you may even forget its on, since the safety lock on the lid ensure that no odors are able to escape either.

Last, but certainly not least, this unit actually comes with a programmable timer. So, you can set it in the morning before you leave for work or go out to run errands all day, and come home to a perfectly cooked meal.

 41CXWupDXEL

The Cons…

The fact that it has a aluminum Teflon-lined inner pot, rather than a stainless steel one, may be a major setback for some. So, if you want a more durable inner pot, you may want to opt for the  Instant Pot IP-LUX60, which does include a higher quality stainless steel construction.

Also, sometimes you’ll find that the pressure vs. release knob doesn’t quite line up as it should, which will allow steam to be released while the unit is pressured. You can easily fix this by just adjusting the knob once it’s begun cooking, but this may prove to be a bit problematic if you’re not at home when the cooker starts up.

Another thing that is definitely a con about this particular product is that the directions indicate KPA instead of PSI, as it wasn’t originally designed for the U.S. market. This is primarily because the product’s programmable functions allow you to simply choose what you are preparing, and it will automatically choose the proper settings. However, if you want to cook with a specific PSI, and have control over your own personal settings, then this may not be the pressure cooker for you.

The Bottom Line…

This unit is great if you’re looking for a more economical pressure cooker, as it does retail for about half of what many other similar electric cookers go for (such as the Cuisinart CPC-600 and the Instant Pot IP-LUX60).  However, it doesn’t have the same capacity as these other more expensive models.

With that being said, it does offer a lot for your money. Even though it does not have a large capacity, it is ideal for cooking meals intended for two or three people. You will have no problem fitting a whole chicken into the cooker though, so it is quite spacious for a 4 quart capacity model.

Cuisinart CPC-600 1000-Watt 6-Quart Electric Pressure Cooker (Brushed Stainless and Matte Black)

December 28, 2013

Cuisinart is a name that is synonymous with quality (and often a rather high price tag). However, when I came across the Cuisinart CPC-600 Electric Pressure Cooker for a great deal, I jumped at the chance to take it home with me and give it a try. After all, I’ve been using pressure cookers for many years now, and am always hoping to find the perfect product that does everything I want it to do without costing a fortune.

The Cuisinart CPC-600 Electric Pressure Cooker offers a wide range of bells and whistles, high quality craftsmanship, and a variety of other perks. However, there are some drawbacks to this particular model. Take a look at my in depth review to get my unbiased opinion on this Cuisinart cooker, which even includes a quick glance at the specs and features.

It utilizes 1000 watts, making it both energy efficient (especially when compared to other electric pressure cookers) and efficient.

Its design includes cool-touch handles, and a nonstick cooking pot and trivet that is also dishwasher-safe. The housing of the appliance is constructed of stainless steel. A recipe book is also included with the item, to offer ideas on what you can make quickly and conveniently with your new pressure cooker.

This model generally retails for around $100.00 plus shipping online.

The Features…

This product is packed with a number of useful features. It includes six different settings, which allow you create just about any food item in a fraction of the time it would normally take. Other than the typically low pressure and high pressure programmable settings, the unit features the following: a browning option (which allows you to sear and brown meats before pressure cooking them), a saute setting (to soften vegetables before steaming them), a simmer preset (in order to cook your liquids at a lower temperature), and a keep warm option (to keep your pressure cooked foods warm for up to 12 hours).

The brushed stainless steel housing is fingerprint-proof, making it easy to keep clean, and the unit features a digital thermostat for your convenience. It offers a wide range of programmed settings and cooking options, all of which can be accessed through the push button control panel.

The Pros…

One of the most convincing arguments for buying this product, as opposed to other similarly priced models, is that it is extremely easy to use and clean. The fact that it includes dishwasher-safe components makes it a cinch to tidy up the kitchen after meals, and the touch button control panel is simple and straightforward.

The fact that you can do so many functions with this cooker is also a plus. For example, you can saute meats before cooking them in order to enhance the flavor and seal in the juices, and you are also able to simmer food items after the fact if you want to alter their texture or add in any extra ingredients.

Another key perk is that you can reduce your cooking time by up to 70%. That means you can make healthy, nutritious, flavorful dinners in a fraction of the time that it would take you to make them on the stove top. This is ideal for those who are always on-the-go, or would like to spend more time with their family rather than prepping meals.

The fact that this pressure cooker has such an elegant and clean design is a big pro. You can just leave the cooker on your counter, without being embarrassed about it when guests come over. Not to mention that it is a Cuisinart product, which is synonymous with top end kitchen appliances. So, you know that you’re getting a pressure cooker that is going to stand the test of time.

Last, but certainly not least, you only have to use a bit of liquid with this pressure cooker, so you know that your foods aren’t losing their vitamins and minerals when cooking in it, nor are they going to lose their natural flavors. As such, you can prepare restaurant quality meals right at home, without breaking the bank.

The Cons…

There are a couple of drawbacks with this particular electric pressure cooker that are definitely worth mentioning. Firstly, the red float valve that is found just under the plastic cover of the cooker has been known to stick. When this happens, it won’t allow the unit to pressurize properly and steam will pour out. You’ll generally just need to tap it in order for it to come loose again. However, it may be a minor design flaw that you should consider.

Another setback is that it may not be as versatile as some other similarly priced models, such as the Instant Pot IP-LUX60 (which is also a rice cooker and slow cooker). So, if you are looking for an appliance that just a lot more than pressure cook, then you may want to consider another option.

The last key con doesn’t have anything to do with the cooker itself, but the manual that comes along with it. It lacks a few key pieces of information, such as the PSI at which the unit works. It may also be a bit difficult to actually operate some functions of the product, thanks to the disorganized directions. However, you can always hop online or contact the company directly if anything needs clarification.

The Bottom Line…

Overall, this product is an outstanding pressure cooker. There are just a few quirks you may have to work through. Other than that though, the features it has make it one of the best models available today.

If you’re looking for a great electric pressure cooker that also sautees and simmers, then this appliance is perfect for you. This is especially true if you are planning on making a wide range of food items in your cooker, such as vegetables, risottos, or meats, given that its variety of programmable settings allows you to create main dishes, side dishes, and just about anything else you can think of.

Also, the fact that you can set the timer to keep your meal warm for up to 12 hours is a huge perk that you won’t find with too many other models. So, if you’re on the go all of the time and want a pressure cooker that helps you to keep your meals piping hot, even if you have a busy schedule, then you’ll definitely want to consider the Cuisinart CPC-600.

Instant Pot IP-LUX60 – The Pros…

It’s no surprise that this particular electric pressure cooker is so highly rated, for the simple fact that there are a myriad of pros associated with owning one. First and foremost, it is able to carry out each of its functions with efficiency and ease. As a pressure cooker, it seals well and traps in food odors and juices. However, it’s also a great slow cooker and steamer, among other things.

By using this pressure cooker, you’ll reduce your cooking time by up to 70%. So, you can whip up dinner in a matter of an hour, instead of the 4 hours it would have normally taken you to cook  that roast. Clean up is also a breeze, given that it has a non-stick interior.

The fact that this pressure cooker has such an innovative and elegant design (and is fingerprint proof) means that you can leave the Instant Pot pressure cooker on your counter without having to worry about it becoming an eye sore. So, if you’re concerned about the aesthetics of your electric pressure cooker, then you’ll definitely want to put this model on your list of cookers to consider.

It also happens to be one of the safest models, thanks to its safety lid lock, which prevents the lid from accidentally opening when the appliance is pressurized. Not to mention that the magnetic sensor included in the design allows you to see whether the lid is properly secured, and the “smart detection” feature lets you know if any fluid is leaking whilst your cooking. These are all big pluses, especially if you have children in the home.

Best of all, it’s extremely energy efficient. In fact, you can reduce your energy consumption by up to 70%, as opposed to cooking with traditional methods. As such, this model is also one of the most Eco-Friendly models available today.

 81tFt2lY9oL._SL1500_ (Small)

Instant Pot IP-LUX60 – The Cons…

There is very little to say regarding the cons of this product. There are only a couple of drawbacks, one of which is it’s rice cooking option. Though it cooks the rice quickly, it can have a tendency to leave the rice sticky. Also, in some instances, you may find that the rice comes out grayish in color. However, if you are planning on getting this primarily for its pressure cooking option, then you won’t really need to worry about this con whatsoever.

The other setback that is worth mentioning is that, if you are cooking with quite a bit of liquid, then it can take some time for the cooker to build pressure. So, if you like to make soups quite often and are worried about making them in a hurry, then you may want to think twice about this model. With that being said, the end result is flavorful, and still only takes a fraction of the time it would normally require on the stove top.

 71FQb07zWfL._SL1500_ (Small)

Instant Pot IP-LUX60 – The Bottom Line…

Overall, this product is one of the best electric pressure cookers you can possibly own. This is especially true if you’re looking for a cooker that is multifunctional and affordable. It’s comparable to the Cuisinart 1000-Watt 6-Quart Electric Pressure Cooker,  another popular model, but is far more versatile.

If you’re looking for an electric pressure cooker that allows you to steam vegetables to perfection, make mouth watering stews, and prepare time consuming meals in under half the time, then the  Instant Pot IP-LUX60 should be at the top of your list. It’s easy to use, it consistently offers meals that are nutrient-packed, and enables you to make your favorite dishes quickly and conveniently.
